Room air conditioners cool only the rooms you need. These systems, also known as window air conditioners, are less expensive ways to cool rooms as you do not heat areas of a home not in use. However, they may not be as efficient as central air conditioners. Some are small enough that you can plug them into the household circuit while the larger ones need a dedicated circuit.
There are several types of these conditioners that we service, including:
- Portable air conditioners
- Through-the-wall air conditioners
- Window air conditioners
- Packaged Terminal air conditioners
- Ductless mini-split air conditioners
- Vertical package air conditioners
The above air conditioners operate differently and have their advantages and disadvantages when cooling a space. Portable air conditioners offer the benefit of mobility, and you do not need to install them permanently. Window air conditioners install inside a standard window and can work as standalone air conditioners. They have several features, including heat modes and timers, and are efficient for small and large rooms.
Through-the-wall ACs are more powerful room ACs that you can use for industrial applications and large rooms. Ductless Mini-split systems air conditioners have a large condenser outside the space you need to cool and small blowers in every room you need to cool. The mini-splits offer you individualized control so that you can set the temperature of each room as you need. They are also highly efficient.
Package Terminal Air conditioners, PTACs, are powerful room ACs used in hotels, offices, and other commercial and industrial spaces. They are highly versatile and allow multiple unit control. Vertical package air conditioners install in hidden places like closets and serve an entire room. They are also common in commercial spaces.
